Production Bloc

In an incredibly fast-paced industry, co-founders Ben and Sam had successfully carved out a loyal customer base and a reputation for calm, efficient and cost-effective event delivery. Their clients already loved the collective’s values, approach and personality - and we loved creating a new identity which clearly reflects these attributes.

Brief

Create a completely new brand for a well-regarded event production company to bring their identity back in sync with the business and bang up to date, strengthen relationships with existing clients and facilitate growth.

Context

When the co-founders of this Bristol-based event collective did some research with their target market of mostly female brand managers and marketing strategists, it became clear that the overly masculine branding so pervasive in the industry was offputting to them. While Ben & Sam’s existing company didn’t fall into this trap specifically, it also wasn’t quite communicating all of the business’ many positive qualities. It was time to realign; their business needed a new identity that would accurately reflect their work, set them apart from the competition and facilitate real growth.

Creative Solution

First up, we consulted on their new name, offering up naming suggestions and confirming their availability both at Companies House and online. We then went on to create a new visual identity that blends naturalistic green and gold colours with a stencil-inspired font that reflects the utility of the event industry. The all-new web copy and design work in harmony to successfully reposition the business as a full service event collective, with a friendly and professional feel, while celebrating the experience and expertise of the two co-founders. The team also now have a new set of brand guidelines to implement across all outbound collateral.
