In support of Dementia Action Week 2021, the soap team participated in the Alzheimer’s Society’s Double Denim campaign. Why was it important for us to get involved? soap has been delivering marketing & communications to the social care sector for over 12 years, raising awareness of the condition and promoting the provision of services delivered by organisations within the industry, including, increasing occupancy levels for providers of residential care including dementia care services.
Dementia, like many other diseases and conditions touches millions of us every day, so as a design agency with specialist skills in the industry it is important that we support various awareness raising activities and charities. This is how we do it – through initiatives like the Double Denim campaign we help raise awareness and support fundraising, and given we are known for always going that one step further, we also invest in Social Value activities. Our biggest investment being our support to local charity Bristol Dementia Action Alliance (BDAA), where we provide free design services and, we offer our support in their awareness raising activities. We should also add, that each member of the soap team is a Dementia Friend and is committed to the great work done by the Alzheimer’s Society, and the work of BDAA in making Bristol the Dementia friendly city of the UK.
